Northcrest — The Northwest Harmony Chorus taught 22 local Girl Scouts about melody, harmony and rhythm, all in a cappella style, at their first Sisters in Harmony event Oct. 3 at Northcrest Community Church.

After the workshop, the Northwest Harmony Chorus, a local branch of Sweet Adelines International, performed, and then the Girl Scouts sang for the chorus and family members.

For their work, the girls earned Young Women in Harmony badges.

Northcrest Community Church looks to advance the form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. More information on the chorus can be found at www.northwestharmony.com.
