A man suffering from stab wounds was dropped off at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center just before 8 p.m. Thursday, and officers were investigating.
Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said it’s the hospital’s standard protocol to contact the department in the event it takes in a patient with such injuries, but it’s unclear when or where the man was wounded.
Emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian indicated the vehicle that dropped the man off left shortly after. Radio traffic also indicated the man was in surgery around 8 p.m., precluding officers from asking what happened or identifying him.
