Brush Prairie — RockSolid Teen Center Executive Director Gilda Ciraulo is leaving after three years leading the nonprofit organization, which aims to provide safe and fun after-school activities for children in grades 5 through 12. Ciraulo and her husband, Mike Ciraulo, are moving to Pendleton, Ore., where he was recently hired as fire chief. “It’s bittersweet,” Gilda Ciraulo said over the phone. “I’m excited about this new adventure with my husband, but I’m really going to miss all the teens, staff and volunteers here. I’m proud of what we accomplished, and I hope I’m leaving the center in a better place than when I came in.” Ciraulo was the third executive director in the center’s 14-year history. No replacement is set, and Ciraulo said the organization is looking, adding that she told the board she could work until December. She said she would be open to staying on the help her replacement “make a smooth transition.”
