Week 4 fall sports athlete of the week nominees

Weekly vote, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues until 8 p.m. Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 3.

Athletes may win the honor once in during the regular season and cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

RACHEL BLAIR, CAMAS GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: The freshman won the Harrier Classic in Albany, leading Camas to a dominating team win.

TAYLOR KERNION, SKYVIEW GIRLS SOCCER: Kernion scored five goals and one assist in two league wins for the Storm.

QUINN NELSON, BATTLE GROUND BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Nelson won a league meet with Mountain View and placed third in the Champoeg Invitational.

KARA NOFTSKER, COLUMBIA RIVER GIRLS SWIMMING: Noftsker won four different individual events in two league meets for the Chieftains.

SPENCER TIBBITS, FORT VANCOUVER BOYS GOLF: Tibbits shot a 3-under-par 34 in a match against Skyview at Tri-Mountain.
