Officers were unable to locate a man who allegedly threatened a person with a knife after being refused money Monday in a QFC parking lot in east Vancouver.

Around 4 p.m., a caller reported to police that a man approached him and asked for money near the store at Southeast 192nd Avenue and 34th Street. When the caller said no, the man brandished a knife, Vancouver Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

The man was described to police as a white man in his 20s, 6 feet tall and weighing 145 pounds with an unkempt and dirty appearance, Kapp said. He was wearing white-framed sunglasses, a gray button-up shirt and beige pants.
