3A GSHL football: Kelso 34, Fort Vancouver 12

Kelso secured a berth in the 3A state preliminary round with its win over the Trappers in Kelso.
Kelso (5-0, 2-0 3A Greater St. Helens League) rushed out to a 34-0 halftime against the Trappers (1-4, 0-2) behind four touchdown passes by quarterback A.J. Hogatt. The sophomore finished 9 of 11 for 158 yards in the first half and was replaced by back-up Riley Noah in the second, thanks to Kelso’s large halftime lead. Hoggatt threw touchdown passes of 5, 12, 34 and 78 yards to four receivers: Emmett Kinch, Jared Bowlby, Brandon Williams, and Sonny Chhim.
Kelso totaled 232 yards, including 174 rushing. Jerson Flores has eight rushes for 86 yards and John Roberts and Aaron Marshall combined for nine carries for 50 yards.
