Dalton Morgan caught a touchdown pass from Jeremy Scott with 23 seconds left to lift La Center to a 20-14 Trico League win over Castle Rock on Friday.
The Wildcats, trailing 14-12, got the ball after stopping the Rockets on a fourth-down play with 1:30 left in the game.
Scott found Morgan on a 21-yard touchdown pass with 5:26 to play to make it 14-12, but the two-point try failed.
La Center’s defense got the ball back to the offense. But the Wildcats turned it over on a fumble, forcing the defense to get another stop.
Scott connected with Morgan again on a 15-yarder with 23 seconds left for the win.
The Rockets scored with 9:57 left in the fourth quarter to take a 14-6 lead.
Cole Judd scored La Center’s first-quarter TD on a 73-yard run.
