Police detectives chased leads throughout the weekend as they investigated the homicide of a man who worked in downtown Vancouver.
Despite releasing photographs of a suspect in the shooting death of Bentley Brookes, a 58-yar-old Camas man whose body was found inside Pacific Bullion Precious Metals on Wednesday, police said they have no updates in the case.
“Tips have come in, but so far, nothing that’s led to an arrest,” Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.
Police were dispatched to the precious metals shop, 701 Main St., at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday after a report that a man was believed to be dead. Arriving officers found Brookes’ body and said he died as a result of a gunshot wound, according to Vancouver police.
