Teen center hires new executive director

Brush Prairie — Eddie Allen will be the new executive director of the Rocksolid Community Teen Center, a safe after-school place for children.

Allen had been development coordinator at the Gardner School of Arts and Sciences in Vancouver. He has also been involved with FISH of Vancouver, the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, Dream Big, Share, the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes and Equality Southwest Washington.

Allen is a graduate of Clark College and Western Washington University, as well as a member of the 2014 class of Leadership Clark County.

Gilda Ciraulo was Rocksolid executive director for three years. She is moving to Pendleton, Ore., where her husband, Mike, was hired as the new fire chief.
