Mountain View grad earns state AP honor

Mountain View — Mountain View High School graduate Emily Leland, Class of 2015, earned the Outstanding Female Advanced Placement State Scholar Award for Washington state. Each state has one male and female student who earns the scholar award. Evergreen Public Schools had 67 students, out of 612 in the state, qualify for the National AP Scholar Award. The district was also home to 67 of Washington’s 2,160 students who qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award, 150 of Washington’s 3,633 students who qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award and 201 of the state’s 5,059 students who qualified for the AP Scholar Award.
