CAMAS — In the most telling sign yet that Camas has fashioned itself into a high-tech town, there is now a smartphone app for a number of city services.
CamasConnect 24/7, available for iPhone and Android devices, allows users to pay their utility bill, request inspections and keep up with city events and announcements.
The free app also allows residents to make nearly a dozen types of service requests, such as reporting potholes, streetlight outages and animal issues and asking questions of different city departments. Users can tag their location and send photos for different requests.
Mayor Scott Higgins said the app is the first of its kind in Clark County.
