Mark Oliverio has been selected to take over the Hudson’s Bay football program, Vancouver Public Schools announced.

Oliverio returns to Bay after being an assistant coach with the Eagles from 2003 to 2007.

He replaces co-head coaches Andy Meyer and Rick Skinner. Meyer is now the athletic director at Hudson’s Bay, and Skinner is the school’s baseball coach.

Oliverio also was an assistant at Union for six seasons and last year was an assistant at Ridgefield.

“He brings enthusiasm and experience as a coach and will be a valuable asset for our athletes and for the school,” Meyer said.

Spring football drills can begin Monday — the first school day after the conclusion of spring sports.
