Vancouver police continue to ask the public for information about the homicide of a 66-year-old woman.

The body of Sharon L. Allison was found inside her apartment at Columbia House, 130 W. 24th St., on May 9 after a friend who looked after Allison reported that they hadn’t heard from her in a couple of days, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Officers continue to try to build a timeline of events, including when Allison was last seen alive, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

“She was a frequent walker, and officers have been doing a canvass of the area,” Kapp said.

Kapp said that investigators haven’t yet identified a suspect, so they are looking for help from the public in the case.

“We really want people to come forward,” Kapp said. “Tips are always helpful. We don’t know what’s the one thing that’s going to be the most meaningful.”

Anyone with information related to Allison’s death is asked to contact Vancouver police Detective Lawrence Zapata at 360-487-7420 or lawrence.zapata@cityofvancouver.us.
