Vancouver seventh-grader to compete for Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen

Salmon Creek — Karsyn Brinkley, 13, will be one of 26 competitors in the annual Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen, taking place May 23 to 24 in Burien. Brinkley is a seventh-grader at Alki Middle School. Her platform is Awareness, Support, Cure: Graves Disease, and she has been raising funds for the Graves Disease and Thyroid Foundation. For the talent portion of the competition, Brinkley will perform a tap dance. Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen competition is open to girls ages 13-17.
