Clark County — Local artists Bonnie Bucknam and Mary Arnold were selected to have their works displayed Saturday at Quilt National 2015 in Athens, Ohio. Out of nearly 1,000 submissions, 86 were chosen, including Bucknam’s “Estuary: Anaheim Back Bay” and Arnold’s “Grandma Maude.” It’s the fourth time Bucknam has been selected for the show, and the first time for Arnold. According to a release from the show, Bucknam’s quilt was inspired by her childhood growing up in Southern California, while Arnold’s quilt is a remembrance of her grandmother based off a picture her mother took.
