Vancouver resident Bob Durgan has filed as a candidate for the District 2 seat on the nonpartisan Port of Vancouver Commission that is now held by Nancy Baker.

Durgan, retired from Andersen Construction, said Friday he would have asked more questions before agreeing to a lease for the oil transfer terminal proposed by Tesoro Corp. and Savage Cos., but he said he doesn’t have a position on the project “because I’m going into somebody else’s agreement, and I don’t know what I can or can’t do.”

Durgan’s filing brings to seven the number of people who filed for the District 2 position. Baker is not seeking re-election.
