Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler’s office will host a Congressional Art Competition Showcase from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 20 at Aurora Gallery, 1004 Main St. The event is free.

The showcase will include artwork by many high school artists. The top three finishers are Keaton Bruce, Kelso High School, first place; Alina Bogachuk, Medallion Art School, Vancouver, second place; and Susan Zou, Union High School, third place.

As the first-place finisher, Bruce will travel to Washington, D.C. in June, when his painting “Childhood Friends” will be hung in the U.S. Capitol.
