Battle Ground — The Battle Ground High School welding team won regional and state competitions in welding fabrication, and qualified for the SkillsUSA National Championships, scheduled for June 23-26 in Louisville, Ky.
The members of the team are Jack Fidura, Wyatt MacAdam and Cody Halme. The team is trying to raise funds so members can make the trip to nationals. Members sold metal art at a recent plant sale.
Parents also set up a GoFundMe page for the boys, where more than $3,000 was donated as of Friday.
