Twyla Barnes has been selected to serve on the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington’s board of directors. Barnes, Clark County’s 2014 First Citizen, retired as superintendent of Educational Service District 112 last year. Brett Bryant, market executive for Heritage Bank was named board chairman, while Mark Matthias, founder of Beaches restaurant, returns as vice chairman. Also returning are Steve Hansen, treasurer, and Jim Youde, secretary.
Eric Bomblatus is a new AmericCorps Vista staff member working for Innovative Services’ Innovative Youth Impact and Employment Services programs. The joint AmeriCorps Vista project is aimed at building relationships with local employers, enhancing youth engagement and fundraising.
Cassandra Parker has joined the Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council as a program coordinator. Her most recent position was office manager with New Castle Photography. She is a board member of Good Shepherd Montessori Preschool and a volunteer with several church, school and community groups.
