A bases-loaded walk in the 10th inning of the first game, and then a four-run seventh inning in the second has the Clark College baseball team still alive for a postseason berth.

The Penguins swept Clackamas 1-0 and 8-6 on Friday.

Clark (20-22, 9-13) now needs to sweep Clackamas again Saturday at Kindsfather Field and have Chemeketa sweep Linn-Benton (19-21, 11-11) to create a tie for fourth place in the NWAC South Region. Otherwise the Penguins season is over.

The top four teams from the region play in the super regionals next week.

Clark won the first game Friday on two-out bases-loaded walk to Donavan Miller for the game’s only run. (Click here for complete Game 1 boxscore)

In the second game, Clark scored four times in the seventh to get some insurance runs as Clackamas scored three in its half of the inning to make it close.

Miller was 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBI for the Penguins. (Click here for complete Game 2 boxscore)

The home finale for Clark begins at 1 p.m. Saturday.
