A Vancouver video game store was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 4:22 p.m. at GameStop, 221 N.E. 104th Ave. A male entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded cash from the register, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The robber ordered the clerk to lay facedown on the floor and ran out of the store westbound with an undisclosed amount of cash, Kapp said.

Police officers searched the area with a K-9 but did not locate the suspect. He was described as a light-skinned black male, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing mostly all-black clothing and what appeared to be a University of Oregon baseball cap, green with a yellow bill, Vancouver police said.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect. Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call the Vancouver Police Department. The agency’s tip line is 360-487-7399.
