Battle Ground school district asks community to weigh in

Battle Ground Public Schools will e-mail parents, district staff and community members today to ask them to share their concerns and ideas for the school district’s future.

Community members are invited to participate. Those who do not receive an e-mail invitation can register online at http://battlegroundps.thoughtexchange.com/invitation.

Those who do not have email can get a printed survey at any school office.

Responses will be collected through May 17.

An online program, called ThoughtExchange, uses a three-step process:

• Through open-ended questions, participants will share their thoughts about their neighborhood school and the district.

• Participants will be asked to review the ideas gathered and prioritize the most important ones by assigning them a star.

• The district will share each school’s starred ideas with the community through interactive websites.

Administrators will use the results to update the district’s strategic plan. Principals can review the information for school-level changes.

For details, call 360-885-5337 or e-mail communication@battlegroundps.org.
