Edgewood Park — Students from the Center for Childhood Deafness and Hearing Loss took over Junior Achievement World on April 21 and 22, learning about business and finance.

The mock town in Auburn allows students to work various jobs in “Biz Town” or act as an adult with a budget in “Finance Park.”

This year was the first time Junior Achievement World hosted Deaf Day, with nearly 200 deaf and hard of hearing students, 17 teachers and more than 40 volunteers participating in the events.

Deaf and hard of hearing adults volunteered at the park, showing students how to prepare for life in the workforce.
