A window was shot out at the Grand Central Fred Meyer in west Vancouver on Monday evening, and the shooter fled the scene.

The disturbance was reported around 5:20 p.m. at the grocery store, 2500 Columbia House Blvd. A man reportedly stood out of the sunroof of a black sedan and fired a gun, shattering a window near a front entrance on the store’s east side before driving off, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian. Nobody was injured.

The gun appeared to be a BB gun or airsoft gun, said Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp. The sedan reportedly took off northbound on Grand Boulevard and was spotted around the county, including on state Highway 500 in Camas. Although police attempted to pursue the vehicle, they did not find any suspects.
