The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured two Vancouver men early Saturday morning.
The crash occurred at 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast 63rd Street and Meadows Drive, when a westbound Volkswagen Passat station wagon struck two westbound motorcycles that had slowed to turn onto Northeast Meadows Drive, according to a CCSO bulletin.
The two motorcyclists, Kevin L. Nicholson Jr., 28, and Michael Castaneda, 26, suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening and were taken to Peace Health Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, the bulletin said. Castaneda was treated and discharged from the hospital. Nicholson was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital Saturday evening.
The driver of the Passat fled the scene of the crash and abandoned the heavily damaged vehicle in the 7200 block of Northeast 83rd Avenue, the bulletin said.
