A Vancouver woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash near the Oregon Coast.

Monica Calzadillas, 31, was driving east on state Highway 18 in a Nissan Altima when her car crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming Toyota Tundra that was pulling an RV trailer, the Oregon State Police said.

The crashed was reported at 1:26 p.m. near milepost 6, about 10 miles northeast of Lincoln City, Ore.

The Vancouver woman was seriously injured and eventually transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, along with her daughter, who was not injured.

Her other passenger, Carlos Calzadillas, 26, of Vancouver, was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. He was evaluated and released from the hospital, but taken into custody on an Oregon Parole Board warrant and on suspicion of contempt of court in Clark County.

The driver of the Toyota, Colin Hales, 35, of Sherwood, Ore., was not injured. His passenger, Hanna Hales, 34, was admitted to a local hospital for observation along with one of three children who also were riding in the truck.
