Volunteers plant trees in northeast Vancouver

East Vancouver — On March 14, 41 volunteers spread out in various Vancouver neighborhoods and planted trees.

The group planted a total of 54 trees. The event was organized by Friends of Trees and sponsored by tree-grower J. Frank Schmidt & Sons. The volunteers planted in northeast Vancouver neighborhoods, such as Airport Green, Burnt Bridge Creek, Countryside Woods, Fircrest, Hearthwood, Image, Landover-Sharmel, North Image, Parkside, Parkway East and First Place.
