Clark County Public Health Department seeks volunteers in the syringe exchange program, to greet and assist clients, distribute supplies, and help with education.

Get Bold Events is looking for help at its Blooms to Brews Marathon on April 12.

Gifts for Our Community seeks upholsterer assistants at Divine Again, customer service help at Divine Consign, and retail clerks at b.divine clothing boutique.

Human Services Council is looking for a volunteer to do media design and create promotional materials as resources to help people access basic services.

Impact NW — Kids on the Block needs volunteers to present educational programs to school and community groups on topics of drug abuse prevention, healthful eating habits and personal safety. Volunteers work in teams of two and are provided training and materials.

North County Community Food Bank seeks volunteers to stock supplies, sort and inspect food donations, prepare food boxes, unload deliveries, assist clients, and do light cleaning.

Volunteer Center seeks information desk volunteers at the Public Service Center and Clark County Superior Court. Relief help is also needed.

WSU Clark County Extension is looking for participants in the Master Food Preserver program. Volunteers must pay a fee and attend 50 hours of training on Fridays. After training, they share information at community events, answer the Food Safety hotline, and test pressure canner gauges.

Birkenstock Northwest is aiming to collect 25,000 pairs of shoes for the international organization Soles4Souls, to help the fight against global poverty. Soles4Souls has distributed more than 22 million pairs of shoes in more than 100 countries since 2006.

Used and new shoes may be brought to Birkenstock Northwest at 17506 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield. Drop-off hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays through April 22. There is a 53-foot trailer to be filled.

The city of Vancouver seeks to fill a vacancy on its Aviation Advisory Committee. There is no city residency requirement. The committee meets at noon on the second Tuesday of each month at Pearson Field; the total time commitment varies from two to six hours monthly.
