RIDGEFIELD — Volunteers are needed Saturday to help clean up the River S unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.

Doug Hargin of the lower Columbia chapter of the Washington Waterfowl Association said workers will meet at 8 a.m. at the hunter check station.

Hunting blinds will be cleaned and pit blinds will be sealed with plastic. Garbage also will be collected.

Participants should bring their own gloves and waders. A barbecue lunch will be served, Hargin said.
