Central Vancouver — Members of Innovative Services NW’s Adult Day Health Center had a special visitor on Feb. 18 when they met Rojo, one of the Mountain Peaks Therapy Llamas. Rojo visits Innovative multiple times a year, and on his most recent visit, guests enjoyed petting, feeding and even sharing a kiss with him. “He brings pure joy to the clients,” said Debra Arbuckle, ADHC program supervisor. “The idea of having a calm presence relaxes the clients and reduces their anxieties.” The nonprofit started in 1963 to help those in Clark County with disabilities and disadvantages.
