The second of two inmates who had escaped from Larch Corrections Center two weeks ago is back in custody.

Randall Jacob Marlow, 45, was captured at 6:45 p.m. Monday in Vancouver.

Marlow was apprehended at the intersection of Mill Plain Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue without incident in a joint effort between state Department of Corrections officers and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. No members of the public were in the vicinity, said Jeremy Barclay, spokesman for the Department of Corrections.

Marlow was taken to the Clark County Jail and faces further charges.

Marlow and Donald William McLain, 33, were doing landscaping work with an inmate crew east of Hockinson on June 16 when a supervisor noticed the pair were missing around 1:30 p.m.

McLain was captured that evening about 6 miles away in Hockinson.

McLain is serving time for five counts of forgery, two counts of second-degree theft and drug violations, all committed in Clark County. He was scheduled to be released from prison on April 29, 2017.

Marlow is incarcerated on five counts of property crimes committed in Snohomish County. His release was scheduled for Dec. 14, 2016.

Both will likely face administrative sanctions and lose any time-reduced sentence for good behavior. They also may face new criminal charges.
