The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday night inside a vehicle parked in Hazel Dell.

Deputies were called to the Northeast 13th Avenue site just north of Northeast 72nd Street at about 9 p.m. for the report of the attempted suicide, Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

The 26-year-old woman was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Her condition at the hospital was not available.

The vehicle that the woman was in had reportedly been stolen out of Texas, Neiman said.

The woman’s boyfriend, who was present at the time, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle.
