Clark County District 2 candidates will face off in a public forum next week.

The Fairgrounds Neighborhood Association will sponsor the debate during its meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Community of Christ Church, 400 N.E. 179th St., Ridgefield. The meeting is open to the public.

Candidates in attendance will answer a series of questions about the newly created District 2, Neighborhood Association President Bridget Schwarz said. So far, Democrats Chuck Green and Mike Pond, Tanner Martin, an independent, and Republican Julie Olson have accepted the invitation. Republican Mary Benton has not indicated if she will attend.
