State Highway 14 eastbound ramps at Columbia House Boulevard/Southeast Columbia Way will be closed to traffic from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday for roadwork.
The overnight closure also applies to Southeast Columbia Shores Boulevard just north of the intersection with Southeast Columbia Way, preventing vehicles from accessing those streets using Highway 14. The westbound ramps off the Columbia House exit to the Grand Central Station area will remain open.
According to a city of Vancouver press release, portions of Columbia House Boulevard and Southeast Columbia Shores Boulevard are scheduled for chip and fog sealing. This weekend, city crews will prepare the streets for upcoming resurfacing by milling off damaged pavement and paving over cracks and potholes.
Access to and from the work area will be maintained along Southeast Columbia Way, and motorists will detour west to Columbia Street for connections to other major streets. The detour route under the Interstate 5 Bridge has a clearance of 14 feet 3 inches.
Project maps and a complete list of streets scheduled for paving overlay and preventive surface work this year are available at www.cityofvancouver.us/pavement.
