Officials identified the woman who died Tuesday afternoon in a backyard pool in La Center as 59-year-old Robin Laduke.

The La Center woman died of accidental drowning, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Emergency personnel were sent to a residence in the 1900 block of Northwest 359th Street after a family member found the woman unresponsive in an above-ground pool, Clark County Fire & Rescue Chief Mike Jackson said.

She was last seen swimming in the pool about 20 minutes prior to the 911 call, made just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers with the La Center Police Department arrived and performed CPR before firefighters arrived, but they were not able to revive her.
