Clark County sheriff’s deputies flooded the Felida neighborhood in a search for a suspect who is possibly armed.

Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a drug investigation, but the suspect vehicle took off and drove through a yard. A short pursuit ensued, which ended shortly after noon when the vehicle crashed into a marked patrol car, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. There were no injuries reported.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, but a passenger fled and remains outstanding. Police, including at least one K-9 unit, are searching for the man, last see in the 12700 block of Northwest 20th Avenue. The dead-end road backs up into the Salmon Creek Trail and police have positioned themselves throughout the neighborhood.

“We have no reason to believe that the unaccounted for suspect poses an overt danger to the public,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
