A woman died in a backyard pool in La Center on Tuesday afternoon.
A family member found the woman unresponsive in the above-ground pool at their home in the 1900 block of Northwest 359th Street and called 911 at 3:05 p.m., said Clark County Fire & Rescue Chief Mike Jackson.
The woman was last seen swimming in the pool about 20 minutes prior to the 911 call, Jackson said.
Officers with the La Center Police Department arrived first and started CPR before firefighters and medics arrived. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
They were not able to revive the woman.
