Ridgefield — Zombies and prisoners invaded the Ridgefield High School yard on June 5 for numerous vicious battles, duking it out in games of human bowling, dizzy T-ball and shaving cream shoot-off. It was all part of the school’s annual Spudder Olympics, where students form teams and compete in a variety of games to celebrate the end of the school year. This year, a few teams coordinated outfits based on TV shows such as “Orange is the New Black” and “The Walking Dead.” The event is organized by the school’s leadership class, and this year’s event featured 200 students participating spread across 32 teams, according to a release from the school district.
