Officials are reigniting the search for an inmate at the Larch Corrections Center who, more than a week ago, walked away from a work crew east of Hockinson.

The incident command center for the search was closed Friday evening, but officials met Tuesday to regroup and refocus efforts to find 44-year-old Randall Jacob Marlow.

“We’re asking for the public, once again, to start calling in leads,” said Jeremy Barclay, Department of Corrections spokesman. The agency went after some leads at the start of the search that fizzled out, but Clark County residents should remain vigilant, Barclay said.

Marlow and another inmate, Donald William McLain, 33, were part of a landscaping crew working at Clark Rifles on the afternoon of June 16, said Danette Gadberry, Larch Corrections Center spokeswoman.

Just before 2 p.m., a crew supervisor noticed the men were missing from the rifle range and launched a search with help from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Corrections escape response team.

McLain was captured eight hours later about 6 miles away in Hockinson, but officials couldn’t find Marlow, who was serving time for property crimes.

Marlow has a national warrant out for his arrest, and local police have been familiarized with his case, Gadberry said. Marlow has distinctive tattoos on his chest and both legs.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 or the Larch Corrections Center at 360-260-6300.
