A 9-year-old boy critically injured in a Skamania County crash over the weekend died today, bringing the total number of deceased to four.

Around 8:05 p.m. Saturday, an eastbound 1997 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Heath T. Martin of North Bonneville crossed into the westbound lanes on state Highway 14 near Milepost 33 and struck a minivan head-on, the Washington State Patrol said. Martin, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, the WSP said.

When troopers looked him up, they discovered Martin had a medical restriction on his license, which had been canceled, said Sgt. Nate Hovinghoff. A canceled license means it’s been taken away.

The westbound 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan carried a Kent family of five: Anatoliy I. Goy, 47, Mariya P. Goy, 49, and their three sons, Daniel Goy, 7, Alexander Goy, 9, and Andrey Goy, 11. The boys’ names were released today. Anatoliy Goy and Daniel Goy died at the scene, according to the WSP.

Mariya Goy and the two other boys were taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland. Alexander Goy succumbed to his injuries in the hospital today, the WSP said.

Troopers aren’t sure why Martin crossed the center line. There will be an autopsy and toxicology report done to determine possible contributing factors, Hovinghoff said.
