Three of the age division winners in Sunday’s Vancouver USA Marathon were from Clark County.

Tom Burns of Brush Prairie was first in the age division for men 60-64 with a time of 3:43:47. Lana Ferris of Vancouver won the age division for women 16 to 19 with a time of 3:27:52. Christine Donabedian of Vancouver won the age division for women ages 45 to 49.

According to results posted by AA Sports, the official timer, 656 runners completed the full marathon and 1,487 finished the half marathon. Race director Brian Davis said 838 people were registered for the full marathon prior to Sunday. Cloud cover helped keep the temperature down in the morning.

Several of the age-division winners in the half marathon were Clark County residents.

Half marathon overall winner James Breen of Vancouver topped the 16-19 age division with a time of 1:12:53. Women’s overall champion Sarah Crouch is a Clark County native who now lives in Massachusetts.

Other local age-group winners in the half marathon were Johnson Lee of Vancouver (men 25-29), Justin Ashworth of Battle Ground (men 35-39), Kevin Cooper of Vancouver (men 40-44), Rolf Vellek of Vancouver (men 46-49), Don Conner of Battle Ground (men 50-54), Raghbir Khabra of Vancouver (men 70-74), Lucy Defilippis of Ridgefield (women 16-19), Kristine Archer of Washougal (women 35-39), Sheila Perletti of Battle Ground (women 50-54) and Susan Brooks of Camas (women 70-74).

A list in the Community Sports Scoreboard includes each age-division winner and Clark County runners who finished either race in the top 10 for their age and gender.

Davis said that based on registration numbers, at least 100 people have participated in either the full or half marathon during all five versions of the Vancouver USA Marathon. As of Monday, 350 people have registered for the 2016 event, which is scheduled for June 19.

“It was pretty successful as far as we’re concerned,” said Davis, praising his Energy Events team for its efforts during a weekend when Energy Events also staged the Summer Brewfest and the VUM Active Expo in Esther Short Park.
