A 15-year-old boy who is being tried as an adult in Clark County Superior Court made a first appearance Monday morning to face an allegation of attempted murder, among others.
Roy James Thompson Jr. of Vancouver was remanded to adult court last week in two pending cases: a violent residential burglary and the assault of a staff member at the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center during an escape attempt.
Thompson appeared Monday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree robbery, kidnapping, burglary and assault. He and a co-defendant are accused of breaking into an east Vancouver home in April and assaulting and robbing a 65-year-old woman.
The co-defendant, Vincent R. Burnett, 29, faces the same allegations in addition to possession of methamphetamine.
