A Vancouver woman who reportedly experienced a medical event caused a two-vehicle crash on the Interstate 5 Bridge on Saturday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol.
Nuri Jimenez Mendoza, 26, was driving a white 2007 Chrysler Sebring south on Interstate 5 at about noon when she experienced a medical event and failed to yield to a vehicle stopped for traffic at the bridge, state patrol reported.
The Sebring struck a gray 2013 Chevrolet Captiva, driven by 58-year-old John Duncan of Vancouver.
Jimenez Mendoza was taken to Providence Medical Center in Portland, troopers reported. Information on her condition was not available.
Duncan was not injured, and no one was cited.
The left lane of the highway was blocked for about a half-hour, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
