Bikes receive blessings from three churches

Washougal — Three churches teamed up on June 7 for the third annual Blessing of the Bikes. The event is hosted by St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Camas Friends Church and Washougal Methodist Church, and was held in the Pendleton Woolen Mills parking lot. The event was started as a way for those who don’t regularly go to church to pray for bikers’ safety. Following the blessings, there were three group rides: a children’s bicycle ride, an adult bicycle ride and a motorcycle ride.
