The weather this week will host a typical June pattern: morning clouds and afternoon sunshine with highs in the 70s. Picture perfect, I would say. There will be good wind-surfing winds through the Columbia River Gorge, and if you want temperatures in the 80s or 90s, then take a drive east of the mountains. A choice for everyone.
No rain in sight. The storm track remains to our north through British Columbia, and any clouds and moisture will remain up there. Some forecast models diverge by the end of the week wanting to bring showers down over us, but that is a ways out. Nice weather until further notice.
Today is Flag Day, and the weather will cooperate with sunny skies and warm afternoon temperatures and enough of a northwest wind to stretch it out at times.
It is hard to believe the month is half over, or just about. We are nearly 5 degrees above normal for our average mean temperature so far this month. And officially for Vancouver we are running over one-half inch of rain below average. Of course, some areas of the county got dumped on the first of June and are running about average or slightly above.
