Shumway — The Court Appointed Special Advocates Program of YWCA Clark County hosted a special dinner to honor the program’s volunteers, who help more than 600 children in foster care and in need of advocacy in navigating the court system.

The dinner was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church with 89 volunteers in attendance.

The space was donated by the church for the event, and an anonymous donor provided a catered dinner for guests.

Judy Fortlage was honored for her 25 years of volunteer service with the program, and Rosalie McPherson was honored for her 20 years of work with the group.
