Clark County voters will have two new places to submit their ballots for the 2015 election.
The Clark County council unanimously approved on Tuesday an intergovernmental agreement with C-Tran to install a 24-hour ballot box at Fisher’s Landing Transit Center at 3510 S.E. 164th Ave. in Vancouver.
There also will be a ballot box installed by the Battle Ground City Hall at 109 S.W. First St. in Battle Ground. Elections Supervisor Cathy Garber said installing a box in Battle Ground did not require an intergovernmental agreement.
“There’s a lot of participation,” Garber said. “Voters find it very convenient.”
Easy, convenient
The bright red boxes are instantly recognizable, and Garber said they’re convenient as drivers can pull up alongside and throw their ballot inside without getting out of their cars.
