Clark County is seeking applicants for two advisory boards and the county planning commission.
• The Clark County council is accepting applications and nominations to fill a vacancy on the planning commission. The appointment starts immediately and continues through December 2018. The commission, a seven-member group, makes recommendations to the council on land-use planning, zoning and development issues in unincorporated Clark County. The applicant may live anywhere in the county.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. July 1.
• The county manager is seeking a member for the telecommunications commission, which advises the county council and Vancouver City Council on cable television and telecommunications issues. Applicants must be Clark County residents. The term runs through March 31, 2017.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. June 25.

• The county is also accepting applications for the Animal Control Advisory Board. The board reports to the county council and Vancouver City Council on animal issues. The applicant may live anywhere in Clark County. The term ends Oct. 21, 2019.
