A Vancouver man was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after his motorcycle went out of control and crashed into a guardrail while merging onto Interstate 205.

Just before 7:30 p.m., Florian D. Filip, 49, lost control of his bike while entering the highway heading southbound near Padden Parkway, according to a memo from the Washington State Patrol.

The crash blocked traffic in the left lane for about half an hour.

Filip sustained some injuries in the crash and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. His condition was not available Tuesday night.

No one else was hurt.

Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash, and Filip was wearing a helmet at the time, according to WSP. No charges have been filed in the incident.
