Woodland family selling shirts to train therapy dog

North County — Zander Killeen, 14, recently had to put down his therapy dog of 10 years, Whiskey. Killeen is autistic and had Whiskey since the dog was born. Recently, Killeen and his family picked out a new potential companion dog, but are in need of money to properly train the dog, which Killeen named Chance. To raise money, the family is selling T-shirts online for $20 a shirt. The black shirt has puzzle pieces on it, which are frequently used for autism awareness, and reads “If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart.” The shirts are on sale until July 27, and can be purchased through PayPal by emailing Killeen’s mother, Amber Pardue, at kpardue57@gmail.com.
